Weeks deep into Melbourne’s stage four lockdown, where comfort rules every aspect of getting dressed, tracksuits have been declared the true winners of the pandemic.
So it’s good timing that Melbourne’s own Après Studio have recently dropped the ideal three-piece set to keep you cozy through isolation, and beyond.
Owner and designer of Après Studio, Meg Wilcher describes the three-piece capsule collection as what’s missing in wardrobes worldwide.
In tones of chocolate and hazelnut, it's made up of a skivvy, matching sweat pants, and the perfect everyday hoodie. The hero of the trio are the pants, chic flared tracksuits with the perfect elasticat waistband.
“There was a reluctance to call these sweats or track-pants.” Meg says.
“Because they simply aren't. You could wear them to a formal biz meeting (or zoom call) and nobody would second guess your formality.”
This new three-piece capsule range is for pre-order, as sustainability drives so much of the Après ethos. Meg recently even penned a transparent journal post explaining the difficulties that come with manufacturing during a pandemic, and lets you meet the makers behind her designs.
